The controversy over the film Abhinetri and its court case reached an important stage on Monday. Following a high court order, the film was watched by a lower court judge in the presence of both sides to the dispute at the Chamundeshwari studio in Bangalore today.
Producer-actress Pooja Gandhi, her advocate and director of the film were present. Apart from the judge, senior advocate Pramila Nesargi and the complainant's advocate were present.
The controversy started with Bhagya Krishnamurthy alleging that the film produced and acted by Pooja Gandhi was based on a novel she had written ten years ago.
Pooja Gandhi has on the other hand claimed that the film is inspired by the late actress Kalpana. The court is expected to give its judgement on July 16th
