Puneeth Rajkumar has missed his flight to India from the US. He has taken another flight but that will arrive in Bangalore only late in the evening of Sunday. Therefore Puneeth will not be able to vote in the ongoing Assembly elections. The rest of the Rajkumar family including Parvathamma Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar voted in Sadashivnagar on Sunday morning.

Puneeth had planned his holiday so that he could come back before the voting day. But due to the missed flight, he has lost the opportunity to vote for the first time. Due to the holiday in US, Puneeth also missed the muharat of his new film that also stars Malayalam actor Mohan Lal.
