If everything had gone right then Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu should have become the president of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce president by now. But Sa Ra Govindu has been resisting to be the president for some time.
Ask him why he is reluctant not to contest for the post of president of SIFCC, Sa Ra Govindu says he is not interested in the fight. 'The SIFCC comprises five regional film chambers including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana and Kerala. If I would have become a president of the SIFCC, I would have become the president by now. But I don't want that post because of the river issue. I have been fighting for the welfare of farmers and against the state sharing water with other states during the time of distress. I can't continue to fight if I become the president of the SIFCC due to various reasons. So, I have been restraning myself from becoming the president of the SIFCC' says Sa Ra Govindu.
