Chiranjeevi Sarja's new film Aatagara directed by KM Chaitanya has grossed Rs 2 crore at the box office in its opening weekend. The collection reports for the weekdays since then are not yet completely compiled but as of now it looks like the first week producer's share will be over Rs 2 crore. This is the biggest opening for Chiru.
The film's collections in urban centres and Bengaluru is above expectations but below expectations in B and C centres. The film is doing very well in multiplexes. In the last weekend of August, Aatagara is the highest grossing film in Karnataka.
