Well known producer S V Babu has acquired the remake rights of Nandamuri Tarakara,'s 'Patas' and is planning to do the film in Kannada with a big star. 'Patas' which was released a few weeks ago was a big hit in Andhra and many Kannada producers including K Manju, B Vijaykumar and others tried to acquire the rights by quoting high prices for the remake rights. But S V Babu has beat everybody in the race and has bought the remake rights for a huge price.

With the remake rights in hand, S V Babu plans to remake the film in Kannada with big star. S V Babu is currently busy with the production of 'Endendigu' and 'Ricky'. Just after the release of the two films in the next few months, Babu plans to start the Kannada version of 'Patas'.
