Actress Shwetha Basu who was falsely arrested in a prostitution case in Hyderabad last year is all set to act in a Kannada film called 'Devravne Budu Guru'. The film stars Akul Balaji in lead role and was launched a few months back.

Shwetha Basu will be playing a investigative journalist in this film and will be working for six days in the film. Film sources, has confirmed that Shwetha has given her nod to act in the film and will be participating in the shooting soon.

This is the first film Shwetha has signed after being released in a false prostitution case. She was sent to a rescue home where she stayed with kids who were victim of human trafficking. She was released later and was waiting for a nice opportunity to make a come back and now the actress will be making her debut in Kannada.
