Soundarya Jagadish is back with a new film called ‘Ram-Leela’
starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Amoolya in lead roles. The film is directed
by Prathap who had earlier directed a Srinagara Kitty film which is yet to
‘Ram-Leela’ is a remake of Telugu film ‘Loukyam’
which was a big hit when released. Soundarya Jagadish who was very much inspired
by the original as it was a family film, brought the remake rights of the
film. Pratap was given the responsibility of directing the film. Pratap kept
the main plot as it is and has made some minor changes according to the nativity.
Prathap says that the film is an out and out entertainer. ‘In these
days, nobody is interested in messages and we decided to entertain the people
and make their minds fresh. The film is a laughter riot and the film will
be appealing to all ages’ says Prathap.
One of the main highlights of the film is however, the film has been shot
in Georgia. This is the first time that a Kannada film has been shot in the
exquisite locations of Georgia. Apart from that the film has been shot in
Bangalore, Mysore and other places for more than 50 days.
While Chiranjeevi Sarja and Amulya play the lead characters, Master Snehith,
Sanjana, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and others play prominent roles in
the film. Anup Rubens who composed the music for the original has composed
the music for the film. Bharani K Dharan has done cinematography for Telugu
films like ‘Dubai Seenu’, ‘Devdas’ and others is the
cinematographer of the film.
The film is expected to release in the month of November.
