In 2007, Mungaru Male was released in overseas market. This movie was screened almost all over the world. This was universal hit all over. Overseas audiences gave thumbs up for this movie (Europe, UK and Singapore) were added to the list of countries in the overseas market.
After this success, everyone from the KFI tried to release their movies abroad and actually crashed the already established market. Towards the end of 2008, recession started in USA, it affected the screening of Kannada movies.
