A head on collision of two much expected big films which were supposed to be released on the Vara Mahalakshmi Festival day has been now avoided. K.P Srikanth's film Shiva will be releasing on July 27 and God Father produced by K.Manju and distributed by Samarth Ventures will be released on August 3. This decision follows a marathon talks held between the respective producers and distributors and a few interested film industry personalities.
K.Manju had decided to release the film on Vara Mahalakshmi festival day thinking that Shivaraj Kumar starrer Shiva would have been released much earlier. He had thought of releasing the film in the first week of July first week, but a big promotional drive of the film had forced him to postpone the film. K.P.Srikanth who has already kick started the publicity campaign by the launch of the audio is to take up further promotional programmes from this week.
Meanwhile, a day's pathch work shooting of the film has also to be completed now.
K.Manju has kept his gunpowder ready just to facilitate the print of the first copy, but he may do it sometime later in the second week of July. Now, the revised dates of release of the films has been worked out to the satisfaction of both Srikanth and K.Manju.
Meanwhile, Ganesh starrer Romeo will be releasing on June 29 or July 13, sources said. Romeo producers are not interested to contest with the release date of Kicha Sudeep's Eega which is storming in many theatres in the state along with its Tamil Version Naan Ee.
