The audio of Rebel Star Ambareesh and Pankaj acted Rana directed by Sreenivas was released on Friday evening at the Ramana Maharshi Blind Academy in Jayanagar. The casette was released by S.Narayan and Bhagyavathi, the parents of  Pankaj in the presence of  Blind Students of the Academy who also gave a splending musical performance in the beginning of the programme.

This is the first film that Pankaj is acting outside the banner of his Home production. Shivanand is the producer and sreenivas is the director. Lakshman has written the dialogues.  The film's two heroines Sonia were present.  Rajarathnam is the cameraman of this film. Pankaj announced that he will celebrate his birthday in future in the presence of the students of the blind school and intended to donate part of his earnings to the Academy.
