Jnanpit awardee and eminent Kannada writer Chandrashekara Kambara has come out in support of dubbing. He has said that it is important to get knowledge generated in all languages in Kannada.
Giving the example of Times Now channel, he said that dubbing it in Kannada will provide more knowledge to Kannadigas. Kambar was attending a function in Kppal, when he made these comments. He also said that opposing dubbing is not good. There is now a divide in the Kannada literary world about dubbing.
At the same time Kambar refrained from responding to Na D'souza's statement that SL Bhyrappa was not a novelist. Bhyrappa is known to have a strong anti-dubbing stance and the division between the writers have now come out in the open.
