Challenging Star Darshan's thousands of fans have been agitated over the disparaging remarks of  Kannada film producer Soorappa Babu on Kannada film industry's gentleman actor Toogudeepa Sreenivas who was known for his powerful performances on screen.  Toodudeepa Sreenivas was the target of attack by Babu in a party in Mysore with a few friends.

Addressing a press meet on Sunday evening wanted Babu to apologise to Ms. Meena, mother of Darshan and wife of  the Veteran actor who was unmatched for his villain's roles in Kannada films.  Otherwise the fans warned that the agitation would turn wild all over the state.   Babu was in a drunken state when he made such remarks.  The 45 second video uploaded in the you tube recently has a content of Babu speaking in a manner that degrades the veteran actor.

Though Babu has been claiming that he has been trapped and the timing of the uploading of video is something to do with his complaint to the KFCC against Shivaraj Kumar demanding return of Rs. 20 lacs advance amount given three years ago, the Darshan fans are not prepared to accept such explanations. Darshan has said that Soorappa Babu does not have the stature to criticise his late father, while his brother  Dinakar Toogudeepa has been more critical.  He has called Babu as a street dog which barks when an elephant like his father is walking.  Darshan fans reiterated that they will not stop the present agitation all around the  state if  Soorappa Babu does not publicly apologise to Ms. Meena Toogudeepa, wife of actor Toogudeepa Sreenivas in the Karnataka film chamber of Commerce.
