Pooja Gandhi says that her new film 'Abhinetri' which was launched on Friday is not about Kalpana, Manjula or any actress but it could be a film on any actress. Pooja was talking to media persons in a press meet organised in the evening.
'Don't go by the looks of the film. The looks may remind one of Kalpana or any other actress. But the film is not based on any actresses but could be a film on any actresses. If you think my role looks like Kalpana, then I take it as a compliment' said Pooja.
Pooja says the film is about a fictitious heroine and the film is set in the 60s and 70s. 'The film is not about one particular artiste but many artistes can relate the fil to them. I want to bring something different in this cinema. So, we have set the film in the 70s and the film will be shot in Chennai. I have heard that during that golden era, Kannada people used to shoot their films in the nights because of the unavailability of the studios in the morning. I want to bring all that into my cinema' says Pooja Gandhi.
'Abhinetri' stars Pooja Gandhi along with Makrand Deshpande and Ravishankar. Pooja has contacted Tara for one powerful role. Sathish Pradhan is the director of the film, while Manomurthy is the music director. Though the film was launched today, the actual shooting will take place from September 27th in a 50 day single schedule.
