As though the competition of big budget multistarrer films were not enough, the Kannada film industry trade analysts were also bothered about the release of  Kicha Sudeep's first full fledged Telugu film directed by S.S.Rajamouli, as this Telugu film had the potential to eat revenues  that would have come to Kannada films.   Because of the hype created by the trailers and the audio release function, Eega has occupied prime focus of attention even among regular Kannada film viewers.  And the fact that Sudeep's performance in the role of antogonist had become talk of the town had also  made Kannada film personalities to sit and take notice of the film.

Now, the release date of this film has been announced.   Eega's release has been now confirmed for May 30.  Both the Telugu version Eega and Tamil version Naan Ee will be released simultaneously all over the world.

The release of Eega was planned for the first week of May. As the post production work and Computer Graphics work have come to an end only now, top director S S Rajamouli and producer Sai Korrapati have decided to release the film on May 30. . The movie will be hitting screens worldwide.

The film will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Starring Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead roles, Eega is a sci-fi revenge drama with a unique concept. The film's plot - a person taking revenge on his killer in his rebirth as housefly - has never been dealt on the Indian screen.
