Vishnuvardhan was also known for his personal involvement in many charitable causes. He was a brand ambassador to Vikram Hospital in Mysore and he was bearing all the expenses of the finanically week rural based children who were suffering from heart ailments. Even recently he went on a Padayathra to collect funds for the people of Northern Karnataka who were affected largely on account of floods in Karnataka. He had adopted Melukote town in Mandya district where he had dug borewells in the water starved temple town.
Vishnuvardhan was very generous in helping out the needy persons to persue their education, but most of these gestures by him went unnoticed and were not publicised mainly because Vishnu deliberately kept out the media and his friends from knowing it. These things became known only when the beneficiaries themselves came out to thank the benevolence of Dr. Vishnu.
