The audio and Video companies have now started off an organisation under the leadership of Lahari Velu to strengthen their fight against the audio and video piracy that is eating out a major portions of revenues. This was announced by the members of the audio and video companies in a press meet organised on Saturday evening.
"We have decided to organise and start off this group to strengthen our fight organisationally so that problems of our industries is given a hearing and solutions worked out in speed. We had no other go than unite as all our efforts individually have not borne fruit. We are meeting the Chief Minister D.V.Sadananda Gowda on Monday to present a memorandum highlighting our problems. We are requesting him to withdraw the VAT order on sales and realisation of audio and video sales as Kanada films are enjoying the 100 percent tax exemption' said Lahari Velu.
The press conference was attended by Pachi of Ashwini Audio, Mohan of Anand Audio, Bharat Jain of Jhankar Audio, Representatives of Akash Audio and other well known companies including Ganesh Video.
