In the tug of war between Kannadada Kotyadipathi and Bigg Boss, the Puneeth Rajkumar hosted quiz show has regained lost ground and in the last week become the top programme. In the first week of its launch, Bigg Boss had trumped Kannadada Kotyadipathi and become the number one reality show. But in its second week, its rating has dropped significantly and Kotyadhipathi has taken a lead over it. Now there is a neck to neck fight between the two shows with KK ahead by 10 points. In the ratings for last week that is available now, KK has 85 GRP points for the week to 75 for BB. Both the programmes are telecast at 8 pm. While KK, telecast between Monday to Thursday, has a 1.5 hour duration, BB is telecast all seven days of the week for one hour each day. KK has six hours of original content per week compared to seven hours for BB. Both programmes are telecast again the same day in the late night slot. BB has one more repeat telecast on Sundays. So in reality BB is telecast for 21 hours in a week compared to 12 hours for KK.
KK has recovered much lost ground. In the week earlier KK had ratings of 61.27 GRP which in the immediate last week has climbed to 85.75. At the same time the ratings for BB has dropped from 103.54 GRP to 75.16 GRP. For BB, Sudeep continues to be the top attraction rather than the episodes in which only the inmates of the Bigg Boss house are shown. On Friday, when Sudeep hosts the show the rating was 18.69 (previous week 20.98) and on Saturday it was 12.93 (previous 9.62). However between Monday and Thursday, KK has overtaken BB to recover the top slot.
