Rishab Shetty's 'Bell Bottom' which was released in 2019 was a super hit with the film not only successfully completing 100 days, but also being dubbed and remade in other languages. The team had announced that it would like to continue the franchise if the film is a success.

According to that, the second film in the franchise called 'Bell Bottom 2 - The Curious Case of Chendoova' was launched at the Dharmagiri Manjunatha Temple in Bangalore on Thursday. Puneeth Rajakumar came over as the chief guest and sounded the clap for the first shot of the film.

'Bell Bottom 2' is not a continuation to 'Bell Bottom'. It is a different story with the same characters. Most of the characters played by Rishab Shetty, Haripriya, Achyuth Kumar and others will be continuing here as well. Tanya Hope has joined the star cast. Jayatheertha says the film will be double to 'Bell Bottom' in terms of quality, entertainment, budget and twists.

As of now the film is in the pre-production stage and the team is planning to start the shooting by March end as the film needs hectic preparations before the commencement of the shooting. As usual, the story is set in the 1980s and the film will be in retro style. Jayatheertha says this film needs more properties from that period and the team is busy in the research and accumulation of those properties which are needed for the film.
