Actor-director Sudeep has been chosen as the Chief Guest of the Opening Ceremony of the 51st International Film Festival of India which is all set to start in Goa from today.
Normally, the International Film Festival of India will be held every year in November in Panaji. However, this year the film festival has been postponed because of the fear of pandemic. However, the eight day festival will be kickstart from today and will end on the 24th of January.
This year, the festival has been organised in a Hybrid format with an own OTT platform. Master classes, In-conversation sessions will be showcased on this OTT platform, while there will be 119 film screening in a physical format. The physical screening includes screening of films across all sections including Indian Panorama.
The Opening ceremony of the festival will be held today evening and Sudeep will be participating as a chief guest which is a rare honour for Kannadigas.
