Deputy Chief Minister Ashwathnarayan has assured the Kannada film industry that the Government will allot 150 acres of land to build Film City in Hesaraghatta in Bangalore.
Earlier, the Siddaramaiah Government had allotted land near Mysore for the Film City. When H D Kumaraswamy became the Chief Minister, he had planned to build a Film City in Ramanagara. Last year, when B S Yediyurappa took over as the Chief Minister, there was a news that the Film City will be built in Roreich Estate in Kanakapura Road.
However, it was announced that the Film City will be shifted to Hesaraghatta earlier this year. Now Deputy Chief Minister Ashwathnarayan has officially announced that 150 acres of land for Film City will be allotted in Hesaraghatta and already the process has started. The Film City will be officially announced soon.
