Sandalwood film journalists and critics have come forward to constitute a Critics Awards. Kannada film journalists have launched the launch vehicle 'Chandanavana Film Critics Academy,' for the purpose. Century Star Shivarajkumar launched the Academy logo on Tuesday morning.
Renowned producer Rockline Venkatesh, KFCC President K Jairaj and Kannada Film Directors Association president Dr. V Nagendra Prasad graced the event. The 'Kannada Film Critics Awards,' will be a three-month-process and the awards function is scheduled for January 2020.
The event was attended by senior Kannada film journalists including Chitraloka editor K M Veeresh, and its jury members for the award events.
Hat Trick hero Shivarajakumar said that such an award from none other than the critics would boost the morale and encourage actors, filmmakers and technician. "It is nice to see that the Kannada film journalists have come together for this unique Academy. I myself have been closely associated with the film journalists since my debut and it has been a great pleasure knowing almost every Kannada film journalists up in close. I wish the Academy a great success and I am always there for its support," he said.
Rockline Venkatesh too wished the Academy and extended complete support from producers and artists association, and so does Nagendra Prasad and Jairaj from Kannada Film Director's Association and Kannada Film Chamber of Commerce respectively.
