Challenging Star Darshan returns to silver screen after a short gap with his previous release being Tarak in 2017. The star actor is set for one of the biggest releases for sandalwood this season. His most expected movie - Yajamana directed by his favourite composer V.Harikrishna, is releasing in no less than 500 screens across the nation from tomorrow.

The trailer and the songs of Yajamana, has been making huge sound on the social media, breaking the record as the highest viewed trailer for a Kannada movie. Apart from being paired opposite Rashmika Mandanna, it marks the combination of the actor's favourite composer V. Harikrishna, who along with composition also makes his debut as a director.

This is the 25th film together for music composer V Harikrishna and Darshan.  Dhananjaya, Devaraj, Ravishankar and Thakur Anoop Singh are some of the others in the cast. 

“Due to challenging star fan's huge expectations, we are releasing this film which is specially written and made for Darshan, in 500 screens. But it will be released only in Kannada and not dubbed in other languages. Good films knows no boundary and language and we are hoping that it will appeal to movie goes who love good movies,” says Shylaja Nag, Yajamana producer.

Though the movie which was launched as P Kumar being its director, Harikrishna's involvement in every department of the filmmaking finally led to his directorial venture in the end.

The actor recently celebrated his birthday in a meaningful way by involving his fans who donated food items, to be distributed to the needy. The actor himself made sure that it reached orphanages and old age homes.
