For the first time ever there were houseful shows for a Kannada film in Canada. There were two weekend shows and for both, the tickets were sold out much earlier. A few Kannada films have been released in Canada before along with the US.

But this is the first time that the response has been so good. This may lead to more Kannada films being released simultaneously in Canada the same time they are released locally in Karnataka. The film, the first big multistarrer in years, has lived up to its expectation as the most awaited Kannada film of the year.

The combination of Shivarajkumar and Sudeep and director Prem has worked wonders at the box office. At home in Karnataka, the film is turning out to be the highest grossing film of all time in its first week.
