Actress Vijayalakshmi who made her debut with T S Nagabharana's 'Nagamandala' is all set to make a comeback with Vinod Prabhakar's new film 'Fighter' to Kannada films once again.

In the last few years, Vijayalakshmi was acting in Tamil films and recently Vijayalakshmi had come before the media and requested Kannada producers to give her a chance to act in Kannada as she is facing a lot of problems. A few producers had even promised to give her a chance to act in their films. However, the makers of 'Fighter' has roped her first for their film.

The new film is being directed by Nutan Umesh who had earlier directed 'Krishnan Marriage Story' and 'Astitva'. 'Fighter' is being produced by Katigenahalli Somashekhar.  The film was launched at the Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore and the shooting for the film will start in the month of August.
