Briefing newsman in a press conference organised on Saturday at the Karnataka Film
Chamber of Commerce office, Basanth Kumar Patil, President of the KFCC said almost all the representatives of the film industry were deeply hurt over the contents of the programmes which was unabashedly anti Kannada film industry and workers, artists and technicians working in the Kannada film industry.
"But we received a big jolt later when we went to Big FM office to register our protest. Rather than seeking apology they were prepared to pay some monetary compensation which had further angered us. They said they would tender a written apology, but we do not want to accept any apology from them because they have apologised several times to repeat the same mistake later' said Basanth Kumar Patil. He was supported by M.S.Ramesh, the president of the Kannada film directors association, Actor Ashok, the chief of cine workers organisation and J.G. Krishna, President of the Karnataka cinematographers association. Mr. Ambareesh who was supposed to attend the press conference however did not come to the press conference, but had expressed his support to the decision of the KFCC.
Some bits of the broad casted programme was obtained through the original audio tape and was separately recorded. This tape was played to the media persons who found it highly objectionable.
