Kannada 's first science fiction film based on time travel is releasing this week. It was a tough task to design the time travel machine machine for the film which looked real. The film team had first created a model to use in the film. But on the day of the shooting they realized that it did not look convincing.
So after shooting 3D graphics was created and replaced on the footage that was already shot. Here is a glimpse of the various process of the design. There is no shortage of capable tech people in the software capital Bengaluru. Director Harsh Gowda says that each of the 30,000 frames where the time machine is shown in the film had to be individually worked on.
It was an enormous task but the final result was stunning and the quality is what you would see in big budget science fiction films.
