Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has made the following announcements pertaining to the Kannada film industry in the State Budget 2010-11 . 

- A site has already been allotted for construction of Kannada Film Industry Platinum Jubilee Bhavana. A grant of Rs 5 crore will be provided for this in 2010-11.

- Rs 10 crore will be provided for construction of a memorial for the film actor Dr.Vishnuvardhan. Rs. 4 crore will be released for the ongoing workds of Dr Raj Kumar memorial.

- Rs 50 lakh will be contributed to the Film Artists and Workers Welfare Fund.
