R Chandru's directorial movie Kanaka is before the Censor Board. Sources said that the film team has applied for the certificate a few days ago. As it is an online process the day on which the Censor Board will watch the film is not known.

But in all likelihood they will watch the film this weekend. In that case the film will be released on December 15. If the Censor Board does not watch the film and certify it before this week the film's release may be postponed to December 22. Either way the film will release this month either on 15th or 22nd.

Duniya Vijay and Chandru have teamed up for this action, romance and family drama.
