Dr Vishnuvardhan National Festival held at New Delhi's Karnataka Sanga on 27th August was a successful mission. The complete credit for this goes to Vishnu Sena members and its president Srinivas.

More than 500 fans of Vishnuvardhan had come from Karnataka to attend the function. Vishnuvardhan's hardcore fan Balaram had come from Australia to attend the function.

The function started at 6 Am. Vishnuvardhan fans assembled in front of India Gate and a procession started from there to Karnataka Sanga. 

In the morning Manu Baligar inaugurated a Vishnuvardhan statue there. In the movie Surappa, in a scene Charanraj destroys Vishnuvardhan statue. A similar  statue was created here. Charanraj who was present was thrilled to see the statue and garlanded it.

Rare photos of Vishnuvardhan were exhibited by Chitraloka. Narayana Gowda inaugurated the exhibition.

In the morning session journalist Nandakumar, Chitraloka Editor KM Veeresh, B Ganapathi, senior journalist Dr Vijayamma spoke on Dr Vishnuvardhan. Actor Naveen Krishna anchored the show. 

Later senior directors Bhagwan, Joe Simon, Rajendra Singh Babu remembered the friendship they had with Vishnuvardhan. Dinesh Gundurao remembered how his father had friendship with Vishnuvardhan. 

BC Patil, Srinagara Kitty, Adithya, Hema Chowdari spoke about Dr Vishnuvardhan. Arun sagar was the anchor.

In the evening senior actor Shivaram spoke for nearly 30 minutes and remembered the contribution of the legendary actor. Later Shivaram was felicitated.

In the evening Gururaj, actor Ravishankar and troupe gave a musical performance with memorable songs.
