Action hero Audithya will be playing the lead role in the film Rebel to be made by his father SV Rajendra Singh Babu. Babu is also directing this film besides writing the screenplay and story of the film . Ajay Vincent is the cameraman of this film while in all probability Jessie Gift may compose music for this film.

Babu is all set to launch the film on June 20 in Bengaluru. After two days of initial shooting, the initial schedule is coming to an end after which the shooting will resume in the month of July end or the beginning of August.

Incidentally the title Rebel was with producer A Ganesh who wanted to produce a film with this title with actress Priya Hassan in the lead. Now, Ganesh who has also been producer of Audithya's film Mass is believed to have handed over the title to producer-director Babu.
