The story of Dhan Dhana Dhan produced by Wasim and directed by Ramanath Rigvedhi has been inspired by an English film which was later remade in Hindi as Hum Kisise Kam Nahin starring Amithabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn. This was disclosed by director Ramnath.
The film's hero Prem and other artists Aadi Lokesh and Ravishankar were also present in the press meet. The film's hroine Sharmila Mandre was conspicuous by her absence. Ramnath Rigvedhi who has now become an except in remaking films which included successful film Upendra starrer Budhdhivantha and the film's writer Ram Narayan said that though the film's story has been inspired from the original film, they have made more than 75 percent changes from the original content.
"Now we have completed the shooting portions and the dubbing work is in progress' said producer Wasim who still argued the film's story is original despire contrary assertions from its director and dialogue writer.
Aadi Lokesh says that he has a completely different type of characterisation in the film. "For the first time I am playing a comical role in the film.
