Ananya Kasaravalli's 'Harikatha Prasanga' and Satyaprakash's 'Rama Rama Re' has won the best film awards in Indian Cinema competition as well as the Kannada film competition at the 09th Bangalore International Film Festival.
The week long festival concluded on Thursday night in Mysore. The closing ceremony was held in front of the Mysore Palace and Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala was present at the occasion and handed over the awards to the winners.
While, 'A Father's Will' was adjudged as the best film at the Asian cinema competition. In Indian cinema Competitiion, 'Harikatha Prasanga' was adjudged the best film award, while Marathi film 'Lathe Joshi' has got the Jury Special award and 'Kaadu Pookkunna Neram' has got the Jury Mention award. In the Kannada film Competition 'Rama Rama Re', 'Pallata' and 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu' have got the best film, second best film and third best film awards respectively. B Suresha's 'Uppina Kaagada' has got the International NETPAC Jury Award for Kannada Cinema award.
