Rakshit Shetty's Kirik Party film is facing a probable legal case for lifting a song from the Ravichandran film Shanti Kranti. A tune from Shanti Kranti had been used in Kirik Party with different lyrics.
Shanti Kranti was made under Eshwari Combines banner of Ravichandran but the audio rights are with Lahari Music. Lahari Velu has said that he has no option but to take legal action against Kirik Party for using the tune without permission. In the last few years many producers had to pay penalty through courts for copying songs from old films.
