Sudeep's new film Kotigobba 2 which is releasing next week for the Varamahalakshmi festival on August 12 will have a bigger release in its Tamil version. The Kannada version of the film will be released in around 300 screens in Karnataka. But it is the Tamil version which will have a bigger release according to the producer.
Since there are more theatres in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil version Mudinja Ivana Pudi will relase in over 400 screens in TN and another 100 in Kerala. It will also have overseas release simultaneously. Thus the Tamil version itself will release in over 600 screens.
The Kannada version will be released in other parts of India also. So combined, Kotigobba 2 and Mudinja Ivana Pudi will release in around 1,000 screens across the world says Soorappa Babu. The film is directed by KS Ravikumar and Sudeep and Nithya Menen play the lead roles. The music is by D Imman and the audio was released recently and become a hit.
