Actress Sarojamma died of heart attack on Friday night was cremated on Saturday.Sarojamma is known for her portrayal of don Marimuttu in Upendra's Upendra. She got noticed for that role and went on to act as a don in many films later on. She was fondly known as Marimuttu in the filmy circles.

Sarojamma was admitted to a local hospital in Kamalanagara on Friday night after she complained of chest pain. But the treatment did not materialise and the actress died of heart attack.
