Senior actor turned politician has silently played a cameo in Mahesh Sukhadhare's directorial venture Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday marks the debut of former minister Cheluvaraya Swamy's son Sachin to Kannada film industry. Samskruti Shenoy who has acted in films like 'My Fan Ramu', 'Black Butterfly', 'Vegam' and others has been selected as the heroine.

The shooting for the film is over and details about Ambarish's role has not been divulged so far. Mahesh Sukhadhare himself has scripted 'Happy Birthday' apart from producing and directing it. Cinetech Soori is the cameraman, while V Harikrishna is the music director. Dhanalakshmi Cheluvarayaswamy and Bhagya Sukhadhare are producing the film.
