Actor Sunder Raj will be receiving Doctorate from Medicina Alternativa affiliated to The Open International University for Complementary Medicines, Colombo Sri Lanka. In the letter written to Sunder Raj on 7th June 2011, it says..

It is a pleasure to inform you that the Senate of the University has decided to confer upon you the Doctor of Honours which is a singular honor being conferred on the basis of achievements in humanitarian services and excellence in the field of performing arts.

This Honorary Doctorate will be conferred to you during proceedings of the World Congress of Interated Medicines to be held in Kula Lumpur, Malaysia on the 19th of June 2011.
