Puttakkana Highway directed by B.Suresha which is an ambitious project made by Actor Prakash Raj of Duet Movies and Shylaja Nag of Media House will be released on May. The unit of Puttakkana Highway had called for a special press meet to share this information with the media. Actor Prakash Raj who is a busy artists now acting in films of five languages including Bollywood was also present.
Puttakkana Highway stars Shruthi and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. Neenasam Aswath, Achyutha, Veena Sundar, Ramesh Bhat are in the cast while the music of the film has been handled by Hamsalekha. Award winning cameraman HM Ramachanrra is the cameraman of the film.
A special premier show of the film was held on Saturday after which a press conference was organised for the media personalities. The premier show was attended by the media critics along with many artists, technicians and well wishers of the film production house.
Director B.Suresha said that though he has based his script on a short story written by writer-director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar two decades ago, he has made lot of research to narrate the film in a realistic manner. "I have taken many shades of the issue of Development Vs Displacement debate which may enlighten the film audience. Thankfully I had the support of many good artists and technicians like Shruthi, Prakash Raj and Hamsalekha who have contributed their best for the film' said Suresha. Prakash Raj who is also a production partner in the film besides portraying the role of Shani Krishna in the film has used the Mandya Kannada accent throughout the film. I was so impressed to see my friend working on many facets of this on going development vs. displacement debate. Suresha has also carried lot of sensibilities in his script which shows how people have become insensitive to other's feelings' says Prakash Raj.
"As a producer also I am happy to be associated with my friend B Suresha and his wife Shylaja Nag as we have decided to make honest and healthy attempts to reach out people' said Prakash Raj.
Shruthi who has played the title role in the film said that she was happy to be part of film which was made by people who have a strong passion for cinema.
