It looked as if it was an appreciation function for actor-director Priya Hassan than a one hundred day celebration of her recent directorial venture Bindas Hudugi. Speaker after Speaker starting from K.C.N.Chandrashekhar, the President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Producer A.Ganesh, Secretary of KFCC, well known film director S.K.Bhagawan, Veteran actresses Jayanthi and Girijja Lokesh were in competition in eulogising the talents and enterprise of Priya Hassan.

KCN Chandrashekhar called her as Lady Rajnikanth and Ganesh announced a new film titled as Rebel. Jayanthi pleaded with industry representatives and media to back a talented actor-director like Ms. Priya Hassan. Bhagawan said that Ms. Priya was his best student.

Even Priya spoke about the gender prejudices that existed and pleaded with the media to look at her talents and not focus on gossips.

The guests gave away trophies to artists and technicians of the film.
