Shivaraj Kumar-25 celebration will go down in the memories of thousands of fans of the Kannada film industry as a memorable event that provided glimpses of emotional friendship bond among veterans of the industry and the huge respects showered by the younger lot of artists who happilly participated in the event to add some glitz and glamour to the special event. But it is eventually the fans who participated in large numbers in the function who were mainly responsible for making this function a grand success. They cheered and danced in ecstasy whenever their favourite stars were seen on the dias. Ultimately it was proved beyond doubt that Shivaraj Kumar was the real Ajatha Shatru of the Kannada movie industry not withstanding the absence of Upendra, Sudeep and Ramya. There was some problems related to the DTS prints of Kempe Gowda getting ready before its release which prompted Sudeep to fly to Mumbai and Chennai, while Upendra's Telugu version of Super was getting released on March 11. Both of them spoke to Shivaraj Kumar separately it was learnt.
The highlight of the function was really the felicitations done to Veteran heroes Ravichandran, Jaggesh and Ramesh Arvind who were seen in the dais along with their family members. Ravichandran's one liners were the best when he said that he had increased weight in the last twenty five years while Shivanna had increased his wealth.
Ms. Parvathamma Raj Kumar, Sarekoppa Bangarappa, Ms. Nagamma-sister of Dr. Raj Kumar had blessed the function participating in the inauguration. Rebel Star Ambareesh and Home Minister Ashok hailed Shivaraj Kumar's contribution to the industry. The function was worth for all the 255 minutes as one or the other attractive event was happening on the stage.
But it was the dances and song sequences which gave provided a visual delight to the fans. The song and dance programme started with Actor Sridhar and his wife dancing to the tunes of Dr. Raj Kumar's Onkaara song in OM while Puneet Raj Kumar shaked his legs and danced for the last song. The songs and dances rendered by Malashri, Darshan, Audithya, Shashi Kumar, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Yesh, Yogish, Sreenagara Kitty, Pooja Gandhi, Radhika Pandit, Radhika Gandhi, Aindrita, Neetu, Naveen Krishna, Vishala Hegde and many others had participated in the song sequences. Srujan Lokesh, Shruthi, Ravishankar and Kitty were good in comparing for the function.
