After much search actress Nitya Menon has been roped in as the heroine for Sudeep starrer 'Kotigobba' being produced by Soorappa Babu and directed by K S Ravikumar. 'Kotigobba' was launched on June 12th this year.

However, the shooting for the film was not started as the team could not finalise a heroine for Sudeep. There were rumours that Kajal Agarwal, Samantha, Shamili and others were considered for the role. However, none among the three gave a nod to act in the film. Finally the makers have zeroed in Nitya Menon for the heroine's role.

The shooting for the film is likely to start in the second week of August and the shooting will be held in Bangalore, Chennai and other places.
