Kannada film producers association President Munirathna seems to be unruffled over the criticism of the association to ban actress Nikitha for three years. “We are not immature to take a decision which can have far reaching consequences. We have documents and evidences to prove that the decision is just. Wait for just fifteen days, you will certainly realize that our decision was based on evidences which include documentary and circumstantial’ says Munirathna defending the decision which was taken without giving an opportunity for Nikitha to be heard by producers association.
‘I knew very well that the decision will invite lot of criticism, but the way the producers gave instances of how the actresses coming from Mumbai were creating problems for the shooting strengthened our resolve to take a stringent action. We want them to work in the sets and then move out. We don’t want them to involve in any other activity’ This is the message that we are implying from this decision’ said Munirathna.
Soorappa Babu, the Secretary of the Kannada film producers association says that the opposition to the Kannada film producers association has come from a section of the people who have some vested interests in protecting Nikitha. But the association is sure to respect the views of people of the calibre of Girish Kasaravalli and a few others, but we are sure that we will be vindicated after a few day
