While actor Darshan has been denied by the Judge of the Princiapl Sessions Court, his forthcoming film Sarathy produced by Sathya Prakash and directed by Dinakar Toogudeepa could not be censored. That was because Dinakar was preoccupied with work relating to court matters. Now, the news is that Sarathy will be censored on Wednesday and the film is likely to get released on Thursday, September 29. The film unit is geared up for a big release of the film and are not unduly worried about the Censor Certification as the action film is also made to attract family audience.
Meanwhile Darshan's fans are also hoping for a grand release of the film and are continuing their Poojas in various temples of the state. Though the arrest of the actor and rejection of his bail application in Metropolitan and Sessions Court within a week has shocked many producers who had teamed up with Darshan, Sathya Prakash is determined to release the film on September 29.
Sarathy should have been shown to Censors on either September 19 or 20, but many fast developing incidents did not allow them to produce the print for viewing by the Censor Board members. Film industry sources are of the opinion that the actor may get a conditiona bail from the High Court as his counsels are contemplating to file a bail application in state's Apex court.
Meanwhile the news about Darshan's other major films are as under. One song remains to be canned for Darshan's film Chingaari directed by Harsha and the last schedule shooting is to be held for the hugely budgeted Historical film Krantivvera Sangolli Raayanna. Viraat directed by H.Vasu has completed one schedule of shoot while new films of producer Soundaray Jagadeesh and Mahesh Sukhadhare were expected to be launched during the next two months.
But now all the shooting schedules and other film related activities of the above mentioned films has been stopped.
The film's producer Sathya Prakash says that if the film gets Censor certification, then it will not be a problem for him to release the film on September 29.
"Every thing depends on the decision taken by Censor Board. We can not announce the date of release of the film till the film gets a Censor certificate. That is the reason we are awaiting clearance from the Censors' says Sathya Prakash.
