Mythri is one of the best films in Kannada seen recently. It is not a regular commercial film or a regular art film. It is a good film in the real sense. It is not Puneeth or Mohanlal who is the hero; the story is the hero and screenplay is the heroine. Director Giriraj should be congratulated for giving the Kannada audience a good film that is sure to stand the test of time and not just the audience appeal at the box office.

The story is about a juvenile deliquent who gets a chance to redeem his life thanks to actor Puneeth's visit to the remand home. There is a game show hosted by Puneeth in which this poor boy from the slum gets a chance at glory. The story has many subtexts and young Aditya is the real protagonist. Though there are superstars like Puneeth and Mohanlal in the film, it is not a hero-centric film. All the characters come together to form a wholesome film.

The actors breathe life into the characters. Apart from seasoned stars like Puneet, Mohanlal and Atul Kulkarni, it is youngsters Aditya and Jagadish who steal the show with their natural performance. All credit should go to the director for bringing out the best in everyone.
