Chennai will host the 100 years of Indian Cinema celebrations between September 1 and September 3. The three-day celebration will see all the four film industries of the south putting up entertainment shows. The first two days of the celebrations will be held in the Nehru Stadium. On September 3, the finale will be held at the Chennai Beach and facility will be made for 5 lakh people to view the show.
On September 1, the programme starts with the performance by the Karnataka team in the morning. The same evening the Andhra team will perform at the stadium.
On September 2, the Kerala team will perform in the morning and the Tamil team in the evening.
The Grand event on September 3 will be attended by Amithab Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amir Khan and other top Indian stars.
Anushka, Shreya, Nayanatara, Tamana, Kajal and others will be performing in the live show.
From the Kannada industry, the top five stars will give a show together on the September 3.
The President of India and the chief ministers of the four southern states will attend the event.
One week holiday will be declared to the south film industries except theaters which are screening films.
