AVM Chettiar, a popular film producer from then Madras entered Kannada film industry with Adarsha Sati. This was a big-budget film of its time and was released in the year 1955. This was the beginning of the long association of
AVM banner with Kannada films. The same year was to become a landmark for an actress who went on to become one of the most famous actress in all of south India. B Saroja Devi started her film career in a small role in the film Aaashadabhuti.
