Actor Chandrashekar who is popularly known as Edakallu Guddada Mele Chandrashekar has expired early in the morning (IST) at Canada. Chandru started his carrer from Namma Makkalu in 1969 and wend on to act with all the leading actors. 

Chandru not only acted but have also directed movies like Poorvapara. In 2015 he had directed Kempammana Court movie starring Neenasam Siddarth, Vishweshwara, Hita Chandrashekar.

His Edakallu Guddada Mele acting as Nanjunda brought his to the biggest limelight. Recently he had acted in 3Gante 30 Dina 30 Second movie and probably his last acted movie will be Edakallu Guddadamele movie starring Chandru, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Dattanna and others. This movie shooting as been completed and will be releasing in May.
