Film maker Agni Sridhar has given away the award money won by his film Thamassu to the family of cinematographer Sundarnath Suvarna. Suvarna was the cinematographer of most of Sridhar's films. He died recently. Thamassu won the second best film State award.
The entire money of Rs 1.7 lakh was given to Suvarna's family. But Sridhar himself does not disclose this fact. He believes in the maxim that the left hand should not know what the right hand has done. Suvarna, who was one of Sandalwood's best known cinematographers, was also produced and directed movies. He died after a prolonged illness a few weeks ago.
