The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has purchased a site in Mysore on Thursday. This is its first land purchase in its 68 years of existence.
In the MUDA auction held earlier today, KFCC was successful with its bid of Rs 6,77,00,000 (Rs. 6 crore 77 lakh) and emerged as winner for a site measuring - 105ft x 150ft (15872 sq feet). Speaking to Chitraloka, KFCC Secretary, A Ganesh, said, "In the president ship of Mr Vijayakumar, we have won the bid. All the past presidents and Mr Sa Ra Govindu, our EC Members supported in this venture. Tomorrow (June 21) we will be settling the amount and take possession of the property. We will put the compound wall immediately and we will decide what to do next."
KFCC sure is excited about this new acquisition. In the years to come, fans of Sandalwood hope KFCC will build its presence all over Karnataka.
