There is intense speculation in State politics that Kannada star Kichcha Sudeep will join the BJP. Chitraloka spoke to the close associates of the Star on Tuesday night to confirm the issue but there is no clarity on it. In all likelihood the decision will be taken on Wednesday morning after a meeting between Sudeep, his close associates and the party's representatives at the actor's home.

For the last few days political circles have been rife about this issue. It is learnt that the BJP was very keen on roping in Sudeep to its fold and also wants him to contest the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled in May. The party is said to have offered him a ticket to contest from a seat either in Chitradurga or Davangere. If Sudeep joins BJP and contests he will be the biggest star since Ambareesh to join politics in Karnataka. 

Close associates of Sudeep Chitraloka confirmed the Wednesday morning meeting. If the meeting is successful, the actor will join the BJP officially on Wednesday or Thursday. However, sources in the BJP say the actor is likely to join the party on April 9 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka to participate in an official function to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Project Tiger. A party event is likely to be organized to officially induct Sudeep to the party. It may be recalled that Ambaresh had joined the Congress party in the presence of then Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao who was visiting Bengaluru. 

All end to the speculation about Sudeep joining BJP will be cleared by about 11.30 AM today.
